The IBS Student Radio Network, by Backbone is becoming one of the most important organizations in broadcasting. It offers you resources that will simplify your operation, add content to your programming, lower your costs, and provide you new revenue opportunities.
AIR AIR - The Association of Independents in Radio
AIR is an advocate for producers in public and commercial media.
BEA

BEA-Broadcast Education Association
The Association is an international academic organization that focuses on the electronic media, providing a forum for issues and topics of mutual concern to educators and practitioners, thus to facilitate interaction between academicians and leaders in the industry.
IBS and IBS Board Members are BEA members.

NFCB

National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB)
National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB) is a national alliance of stations, producers, and others commited to public radio. IBS Members receive many benefits from NFCB.
The many benefits NFCB offers IBS Members are:
1. National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB) "Public Radio Legal Handbook" the industry bible for radio station law is now available to IBS Members at NFCB Member pricing.
2. Member rates at each other's conferences.
IBS members are educationally affiliated radio stations. NFCB members are community broadcasters. Both are not for profit radio stations. Many IBS Members have extensive community volunteers participating along with student volunteers. NFCB can help members with community concerns. That is why one third of NFCB Members are also IBS Members.

NAB NAB-National Association of Broadcasters
The National Association of Broadcasters is the voice for the nation's radio and television broadcasters. As the premier trade association for broadcasters, NAB advances the interests of our members in federal government, industry and public affairs; improves the quality and profitability of broadcasting; encourages content and technology innovation; and spotlights the important and unique ways stations serve their communities.

RTDNA is the world's largest professional organization exclusively serving the electronic news profession, consisting of more than 3,000 news directors, news associates, educators and students.
